How long is my rental?

When you book with The Venue, the 28-acre space belongs exclusively to you and your guests for the duration of your rental on that day.

  • Venue Reception Rental Timing: Private use of The Venue for Friday & Saturday events ends at 11 PM. Sunday events must end at 9 PM. 1 hour of tear down and clean up is provided following the end of your event time. Vendors and decorators are given access to the reception space at 1 PM.
  • Wedding Suite Rental Timing: At 12 PM, you will gain access to The Wedding Suite and The Cottage to begin your preparations for the day. Additional time in The Cottage and The Wedding Suite is available with a fee of $50/hr.

What is included in my rental price?

For the duration of your rental, The Venue at Maison du Lac includes 2 wedding suites, on-site shuttling, the wedding barn, 2 outdoor ceremony sites, all tables and chairs set up to your specifications, a selection of centerpieces, and 3 arbors.

How do I reserve a date with The Venue?

Upon signing a contract, we secure dates with a $2,000 non-refundable deposit. This deposit is credited to your overall balance, which is broken into 3 additional payments.

Are any decorations prohibited?

Inside the reception we have sound proof walls so that your guests have an enjoyable experience. We do not allow any hanging decorations from the walls or ceiling inside The Venue. No live flame inside the venue. No rice, glitter ,bird seed, balloons, artificial rose petals, confetti, or sparklers are allowed inside the barn, outdoor, or reception areas as they interfere with the wildlife.

Why is pricing not posted on your website?

Our rental rate varies by on & off peak season. Additionally, our rental rate varies for Friday, Saturday, & Sunday dates. We have a minimum bar requirement on peak season Saturdays. Looking for a short-term booking? Ask us about a turnaround discount!

Can I bring outside food or alcohol?

To uphold a level of service, we have partnered with the following caterers: Ces & Judy’s Catering, Graze, Sugarfire, Pasta House Co, and Andre’s. Please contact them directly for a catering quote.

Couples are welcome to enjoy food, drinks, & alcohol while getting ready in the suites.

The Venue at Maison du Lac provides all bar services once the reception begins.

What is your capacity?

We can host 300 seated guests inside The Venue for receptions. Our two outdoor ceremony locations can fit 300 seated guests. The barn can seat 185 guests inside & provides an overflow room if needed.

Can we leave decorations and other items at your facility to pick up the next day?

The Venue must be clear of all items by the end of your rental time. We want to ensure that the space is beautiful and ready for the next event after yours

What about rehearsals?

If you would like to rehearse your wedding ceremony at MDL, a one-hour time slot is available to you the Thursday before your wedding for a $100 fee. We have 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm available for a rehearsal time slot, and timing is first come first served and not assignment. Please email thevenuemdl@gmail.com to reserve a rehearsal.

Are their nearby lodging options available?

The Landing Hub, The Holiday Inn, The Wildwood Hotel, The Drury Inn, & The Pinemark Inn and Suites are the closest overnight locations.

Shuttling Services?

We have a partnership with a shuttling company. Please ask our Venue Manager for additional information. Yo Taxi is the preferred alternative transportation service.

Are pets allowed?

We do allow your fur babies to be a part of your special day up until reception.
